Preserve Our Roots is a Nigerian-based by-youth for-youth NGO and social activism movement that serves as an incubation hub for youth activism, focused mainly on raising awareness about climate change, social disparities and inequality. Preserve Our Roots supports youth-led change and motivates and mobilizes innovation and change through our climate education courses and camps, Educational Hub, social media presence, advocacy and local projects.
Building a Platform for Stories of Change
Preserve Our Roots partnered with our team at Impagen Studio to improve their website, creating a platform that effectively conveys their message to their audience and communicates the impact of Preserve Our Roots’ work and mission within Nigeria and globally.
We got to work by brainstorming and creating components that would serve as the building blocks of the website.
Story-First Approach to Web Design
The main priority for Preserve Our Roots was to create a content-focused platform for sharing stories both from the organization and from their community. We solved this by creating custom modules and components to make interaction easy and intuitive for users.
Impagen also highlighted the organization’s priorities through dedicated focus areas, project showcases, and education hubs that displayed their impactful work and community initiatives.
Through strategic design and content implementations, the Preserve Our Roots website now serves as a dynamic platform for communication, community building, and global connection. Our work has empowered the team to amplify their story and extend their mission’s reach worldwide.
