Preserve Our Roots
Preserve Our Roots is a Nigerian-based by-youth for-youth NGO and social activism movement that serves as an incubation hub for youth activism, focused mainly on raising awareness about climate change, social disparities and inequality. Preserve Our Roots supports youth-led change and motivates and mobilizes innovation and change through our climate education courses and camps, Educational Hub, social media presence, advocacy and local projects. Building a Platform for Stories of Change Preserve Our Roots partnered with our team at Impagen Studio to improve their website, creating a platform that effectively conveys their message to their audience and communicates the impact of Preserve Our Roots’ work and mission within Nigeria and globally. We got to work by brainstorming and creating components that would serve as the building blocks of the website. Story-First Approach to Web Design The main priority for Preserve Our Roots was to create a content-focused platform for sharing stories both from the organization and from their community. We solved this by creating custom modules and components to make interaction easy and intuitive for users. Impagen also highlighted the organization’s priorities through dedicated focus areas, project showcases, and education hubs that displayed their impactful work and community initiatives. Through strategic design and content implementations, the Preserve Our Roots website now serves as a dynamic platform for communication, community building, and global connection. Our work has empowered the team to amplify their story and extend their mission’s reach worldwide.
Inner Wheel Nigeria
A Global Network of Women Leaders Inner Wheel, one of the largest women’s volunteer service organizations, is a network of over 120,000 women leaders, friends, and changemakers worldwide who have united for over 100 years to promote individual acts of service that create lasting change. Inner Wheel has three key objects: To promote true friendship; To encourage the ideals of personal service; To foster international understanding. Understanding the Challenge Inner Wheel Nigeria approached us at Impagen Studio with a website that was hard to navigate, was visually cluttered and outdated, and generally hard to maintain. With 50+ years experience serving humanity, Inner Wheel Nigeria needed to ensure their website clearly reflected who and what they are and how their work is impacting their communities. A website redesign, which should enable them to raise more money, showcase their work, and prompt people to join their movement, was needed. Rebranding with Purpose With an in-depth understanding of the organization’s mission and using their visual identity, we built a full website visual system that reflects their brand image, making it people-friendly and easy to navigate. We focused on Content and Photography that showcases their work and rich history, Numbers that highlight the global reach of the organization, and Information that details their mission, history, themes, Districts and Clubs. Club Search + Social Project One key aspect that their previous website lacked was the ability to showcase its level of reach across the country they work in and the work they are doing to transform lives and uphold their mission. We solved this by building the following: Club Search: we built a directory of clubs in Nigeria complete with their home district, region of operations and well as a means to contact them. Added features included a powerful search and filter system. Social Project Library: Inner Wheel Nigeria is an organization committed to serving humanity. With this in mind, we made sure to highlight this by creating a section where the projects and initiatives they carry out in their various local community is displayed.
